Welcome to RENT MY VENDOR!  We are committed to ensuring your personal information is protected and secure. The following is the Privacy Policy for Rent My Wedding, LLC dba RENT MY VENDOR, RENT MY WEDDING, RENT MY WEDDING Magazine, RENT MY PHOTOBOOTH, GOBOS TODAY and its affiliates (hereinafter all collectively referred to as “RENT MY VENDOR”, “Our”, “We” or “Us”). The Privacy Policy applies to your interactions with, access to, and use of the website(s), servers, platform(s), mobile app(s) (“App”), and any associated domains, subdomains, and websites through which RENT MY VENDOR services, content, and materials are available, and/or any associated articles, content, postings, reviews, advertisements, listings and the like (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, use and disclose your personal information, as part of your access to and use of the Site.

I. Information You Provide

We ask for and collect personal information as part of the account registration process on the Site. This information is necessary to provide our vendor directory, classified advertising platform, and blog. To use certain features of the Site, we may require you to provide financial information in order to process your payment. When you communicate with other Users or Vendors on the Site, we collect information about these communications. You may also choose to provide us with information related to surveys, forums, and the like.

When you use the Site, we may collect the following information in order to ensure the best performance of the Site:

  1. Geographic Location:  We may collect information about your precise or approximate location which is determined through your IP address or device’s GPS. This is to offer the best user experience and is also necessary if you are accessing the maps feature on the vendor directory.
  2. Site Usage: We collect information about your use of and interactions with the Site, such as which pages you visit, what content you view, searches for vendors, and other actions on the Site.
  3. Log Data and Device Information: We automatically collect log data and device information when you use or access the Site, even if you have not created an account or logged into your account. This information includes, but is not limited to: link clicks, page visits, access dates, cookie data, crash data, unique identifiers, and pages that you view or use after visiting the Site.
  4. Cookies: We use cookies and other similar technologies when you use our Site, including clicking on third-party links or ads, or email communications. This information may be collected by variety of technologies including cookies, web beacons, browser analysis tools, pixels, server logs, and mobile identifiers. Typically this information is only used in a non-identifiable manner without any reference to your personal information. In some cases the information we collect does include your personal information. You may disable the usage of cookies through your browser settings, however, the Site may not respond to a “Do Not Track” signal in the HTTP header from your browser or mobile application due to lack of standardization regarding how that signal should be interpreted.

II.  Information from Third Parties

  1. If you login to your account or link or connect your account with a third party, such as Facebook or Google, the third party service may provide us with information such as your registration, friends list, and profile information from that third party. This information is controlled by that service or as authorized by you via your privacy settings at that service.
  2. If someone has written a review for you on Google, and you have enabled Google Reviews, it will be published on your profile page.
  3. The general public is permitted to suggest Vendors for the Site, and they can create a profile using your personal information, such as your company name, contact name, email address, phone number, and website.  If a profile is created for you, you can claim this profile by clicking the button on the profile. Upon claiming the profile, you can edit any and all information contained on the profile.  If a profile is created for you but you wish to have it removed, you can do so by clicking the designated button on the profile for removal, or contact Report@RentMyVendor.com.

III. Information about Minors

Our Site is intended for adults in the United States age 18 or older.  We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone under the age of 18. 

IV. Use of Information

A. The information described herein may be used, stored, processed by Us for the following purposes: (i) to provide, understand, improve, and develop the Site; (ii) to maintain a trusted and safer environment; and (3) to personalize, measure, and improve our promotional efforts, advertising, and marketing.

B. We may read, review, scan, or analyze your communications on the Site in order to carry out our legitimate and bonafide interest in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and our Terms, notwithstanding that we do not undertake to make any warranties or guarantees as per our Terms of Service.

V. Disclosure and Sharing

A. We may share your personal information within our corporate family of companies owned or controlled by Rent My Wedding, LLC. We may share your personal information when you authorize a third party application or website to access your Site account, or when you participate in promotional activities conducted by the Site, Users, or Vendors. We may also use limited personal information including your email address to share with social media platforms, generate leads, drive traffic to websites, or otherwise promote and advertise products or services through the Site. These sharing and disclosure activities are based upon our legitimate and bonafide interest in offering you products or services that may be of interest to you.  Any such third parties that receive disclosure of information are not controlled or managed by Us.  You should direct any questions directly to these third parties regarding how these third parties use your personal information.  You may at any time request Us to stop processing your data by sending an email to opt-out@rentmyvendor.com.

B. If We are involved in any merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or insolvency event, we may sell, transfer or share some or all of our assets, including your information, in contemplation of or in connection with such transaction. We will notify you before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

C. We may also share combined or aggregated information and other anonymized information for regulatory compliance, industry and market analysis, research, demographic profiling, marketing and advertising, and other business purposes.

D. We implement security measures to help protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration. The safeguards we use to protect your information include but are not limited to firewalls, data encryption, and information access controls. VI.  Disclosures by Law, Legal Requests, and Necessity

We may disclose your personal information to courts, law enforcement, governmental authorities, tax authorities, or authorized third parties.  This will be done if and to the extent we are required or permitted to do so by law or if such disclosure is reasonably necessary: (i) to comply with RENT MY VENDOR’s legal obligations, (ii) to comply with a valid legal request or to respond to claims asserted against Us, (iii) to respond to a valid legal request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged or suspected illegal activity or any other activity that may expose us, you, or any Users or Vendors to legal liability;  (iv) to enforce and administer our Terms of Service; (v) to protect the rights, property or personal safety of RENT MY VENDOR, Users, Vendors, employees, or members of the public.

VII. Your Rights

A. You may access and update some of your information through your profile or account settings. You are responsible for keeping your personal information up-to-date.

B.  You have the request us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information about you that cannot be updated yourself on your account.

C.  You have the right to exercise any legal provisions afforded to you in your jurisdiction, which includes for example, in some jurisdictions being legally entitled to request copies of your personal information held by us, or requesting your personal information to be deleted.

D.  You may withdraw your consent to this Privacy Policy at any time by sending a communication to RENT MY VENDOR at opt-out@rentmyvendor.com specifying which consent you are withdrawing. Withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any of our activities conducted before the withdrawal of your consent.

VIII.  Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify the Privacy Policy at any time and without advance notice. The updated policy will always be posted on this webpage. If you disagree with any revised Privacy Policy, you may cancel your account. If you do not cancel your account before the date the revised Privacy Policy becomes effective, your continued access to or use of the Site will be subject to the revised Privacy Policy.
